What we collect

When you visit this website, we and the services described below automatically receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and — where applicable — a reference to an ad you clicked. We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are viewed and how people move between them. This data is used only for measurement and site improvement. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Advertising measurement

We use OpenAI's advertising measurement pixel (OpenAI OpCo, LLC) to measure when people who saw or clicked one of our ads on ChatGPT later visit or act on this website — for example, opening one of our book listings or following a link to a retailer. The pixel records page views and clicks on retail links (Amazon, Bookshop.org, Lightning Source), and may attribute them to an ad interaction using a reference stored in a first-party cookie.

This measurement is used for reporting and, where enabled, to improve our advertising. No payment is processed on this website — purchases happen on the retailer's own site under that retailer's privacy policy.

Your choices

In regions where advertising cookies require your consent, our ads measurement pixel does not load until the applicable rules allow it, and it stays off where a choice has not been made. You may also block cookies or tracking in your browser settings at any time, and opt out of Google Analytics using the link above.
